Sterling Silver and Indonesian Fossilized Wood and Blue Opal with Amber Pendant

Fairly new material from the Volcanic area of Indonesia, this is Petrified (fossilized) Wood that contains a large amount of Blue Opal material. The Blue Opal is highly prized as a new gemstone in the marketplace and rare. The Blue Opal forms inside the wood as the sap wood decomposes and is filled with silicate material.

I chose to wrap this lovely stone in solid sterling silver wire, using seamless sterling silver beads. The larger bead accent is a Baltic Amber cabochon, securely nestled at the neck of the pendant bail. The bail size is approx. 5mm wide, so it will accept a variety of chains or cords. The pendant measures 2 1/4 inches by 1 1/8 inches in size, and has been sealed with a professional jewelry sealer to help deter tarnish. The back is very neat and all ends fixed down so you will be able to wear it comfortably.

She will ship with your choice of sterling silver chain or 3mm leather cord. Please PM me at the time of purchase with length and which you prefer. She will also come with a cleaning cloth, care instructions, and a velvet storage bag.
